The Water’s Edge
Sundays, 9:30 AM in The Cove at
the Krause United Methodist Center.
(maps & directions)
Worship at the Water's Edge (W.E) feeds hungry souls. Everyone's welcome. We share Christ together, and we're changed (so that we can help change the world).
Our worship might not be what you expect...
...it's casual, modern, traditional, sacramental, poetic, conversational, participatory, thought-provoking, comforting, and holy. You'll find babies and old people, folks whose faith runs long and deep and folks who are searching, people celebrating and mourning and questioning.
W.E. will be different because you've joined us
Every week, we share in the sacrament of communion and everyone is welcome at the communion table. We worship with poetry, music, videos, prayers and sermons. Fresh-brewed coffee will be waiting as you walk in the door. After church take time to meet new friends. We hope you join us for our monthly potlucks and local hikes.
The music's good stuff—Folk/rock played on acoustic and electric guitars, drums and flutes and things, though you just might happen across bluegrass banjos or a rockin' lead guitar. The preaching is honest and thoughtful.
W.E. help feed hungry people...
Some Sundays you will have the opportunity to help make sandwich lunches for the residents at Rachel's House (a refuge for abused women and children). Every Sunday afternoon the Loaves & Fishes food ministry at First Church, distribute food to over 100 families in need of extra nutrition. We thank you for remembering to bring canned goods, milk, bread and eggs each week.
