The life of the Spirit is celebrated with great enthusiasm at First Church, with a variety of programs resourced by the Pastors and lay leaders.
Join the First Church community as we pray for the life of our church and those in our congregation in need of prayer. All are welcome to attend no matter how much or how little experience you have in prayer.

An ancient aid to Christian meditation in it's simplest form - a pathway where you can experience a "walking prayer." We have at First Church two labyrinths: a cloth replica of the medieval Chartres labyrinth, used for special occasions, and an outside labyrinth located at the south west corner of the Music Center buildings, available for groups or individuals to walk any day of the week.

MONDAYS | 6 PM | TROTTER CHAPEL
We start by listening to a different meditation, followed by 20 minutes of silence. We continue by reading a scripture or a short poem. We listen to some music to close the session. For more information, call the church office at 619-297-4366.
Occasional retreats offer the chance to gather with friends in community, to prepare for upcoming seasons in the life of the church, to deepen your personal faith. Contact:
