The new Methodist Church in Cambodia look to mission groups, like First Church’s, to support their efforts through evangelism projects and with financial gifts, enabling congregations to become self-sufficient without relying on charitable donations.

On the second Saturday of the month, First Church joins in collaboration with St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in hosting "The Shower of Blessing's Breakfast" for the homeless of Balboa Park.
First Church has been an active support congregation for Interfaith Shelter Network for over 30 years, providing meals and shelter for a two-week rotation with 8 to 10 guests.
This ministry provides new shoes to disadvantaged elementary school students in the San Diego area. Shoe shoppers and distributors are needed.
Our food ministries provide fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, milk and eggs to hundreds of individuals and families every week.
Volunteer to help emerging readers for several hours one weekday morning a week at the school.
