Be prepared for lots of fun and laughs. It's a day in Quilters paradise!
Bring your stories, your lunch, and maybe a snack to share. No reservations are required and there is no cost. We're excited to meet you and for you to become a part of the amazing Prayers & Squares program. And bring a friend – there is plenty of fun, fellowship, and joy for everyone!!
What to expect: Come with a happy heart, ready to sew, meet new friends ... maybe rip out a seam or 2 ... and sew some more.
All you will need is your:
- Sewing machine with the plug for the power and for your foot pedal
- Maybe some material (we have a closet full you can choose from also)
- Straight pins and erasable ink pens
- Scissors and or a rotary cutter (if you plan to cut your pattern out at the retreat)
- Don’t forget your no. 1 sewing weapon: your favorite seam ripper!
If you're wondering what should you sew:
- We have a mystery quilt option (fabric requirements and clues for the Mystery Quilt are on the Prayers & Squares webpage)
- Any design for a prayer quilt top. (Size 50 X 60)
- You also may enjoy layering a prayer quilt and placing ties in it
At lunch we will have a show and tell so bring something you have created to share!
