This season's Midday Pipes organ series at First United Methodist Church of San Diego will be both in-person in the Sanctuary and online, live-streamed and available on YouTube.

All concerts will begin at 12:15 PM and can be accessed at fumcsd.org/watch-live or at First Church YouTube Channel on the second Wednesday of the month from September through June.  We invite you to enjoy this beautiful organ music played by distinguished musicians on the 107-rank, 4-manual Blackinton & Associates pipe organ, the largest in San Diego County. The series is sponsored by the First Church Cultural Events Committee, and each performance will be approximately 45 minutes long.

Alicia McMillan is the Worship and Music Director and organist at Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church where she has served in various capacities since 1999. She earned her music degrees in organ performance from the University of Tampa in Florida, Northwestern University in Chicago and a California single subject teaching credential in music from National University in San Diego. Passionate about music education, Alicia launched a K-3 music program at Loma Portal Elementary School and started children’s and youth choirs at PLCPC. She is an active member of the San Diego AGO Chapter having served on board as member-at-large, secretary and sub-dean. As a life-long learner, she participates in continuing education programs offered through professional organizations and private instruction. Performance experience ranges from seasonal solo organ concerts, performing concertos with orchestra during annual Christmas concerts, serving as choral festival accompanist, and performing on Spreckels Organ in Balboa Park.
