Paul Rosas - Organist
Retired Organist, Los Altos United Methodist Church

T. Paul Rosas is an organist, professional accompanist and composer. He is the founder and organizer of Alzheimer's Benefit Concerts in the San Francisco Bay Area and has continued his fund raising with the help of the San Diego Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. These events featured many different organists as well as singers, instrumental musicians and composers.   He has also given lectures about the “Art of Accompanying” at the San Francisco National Convention and “Living with Pipe/Digital organs” at the Bakersfield Regional convention.   His articles “The Misadventures of a Touring Accompanist” has been featured in The American OrganistWhile being an avid supporter of “fresh” music by local composers, he also loves to combine many different styles of music, new compositions and different performers to create unique and exciting musical events. Mr. Rosas has also created workshops for artists where he practiced organ music while the attendees created their own art painting and drawing.  At the end of several months, he then gave a concert featuring the music and the art that was created in the sessions. He retired from his position as Senior Organist for Los Altos United Methodist Church in 2017 and moved to San Diego to be closer to family. He has been having fun contributing to the music program at La Mesa First United Methodist Church and being a free lance musician in the San Diego area.  The program will feature “Small Honeysuckle” a brand new work inspired by the weaving patterns as depicted in The Handweavers Pattern Dictionary by Anne Dixon
