We’ve been looking at sin during this season of Lent. Today, we’re taking a broad look at ethics, the study of notions of right and wrong, good and bad. There’s a lot of different approaches that result in a lot of different perspectives and behaviors. It can lead to quite a bit of confusion. But it helps to explain why we disagree on some big issues, and understanding is an important quality in having conversations about our disagreements.

Inherent to that flow, is the awareness that we’re talking not just about individual sin, but the sins of the collective as well, communal sins.
