Spring Fling Garden Party 2013
Are you a “worn out woman?” Are you frazzled, stressed out and exhausted? At the end of your rope? How ‘bout your mom, sister, co-worker or friend? There is a solution. First, take a deep, cleansing breath. Then, make plans to de-stress at the “Spring Fling” Garden Party and outreach for women Saturday, May 11 at First Church in Mission Valley.
The program starts at 11 AM in the church sanctuary. Enjoy a dazzling music presentation by the amazing “Bunnell Strings,” San Diego’s sensational sibling string quintet. Following an inspirational program, we’ll move to Linder Fellowship Hall for a casual luncheon buffet.
With real “Solutions for the Worn out Woman,” special speaker Lisa Johnson will share strategies to deal with stress and exhaustion…be it physical, emotional or spiritual. Lisa has the rare ability to move right past the surface of things to the deep places of the soul…using Biblical principles to encourage any woman who’s worn out. A popular speaker and teacher, Lisa also juggles her career, husband and two young children, so can identify with women juggling too many balls.
Dynamite Mike Farmer is back to get you all warmed up and 10News weathercaster, Pat Brown will “fling” it all together with her special blend of energy, humor and the best darn door-prize drawing ever!
“Spring Fling” tickets go on sale for $20 beginning Sunday, April 21, 9 AM at First Church. Tickets are also available online at fumcsd.org/SpringFlingTickets now through May 9. No assigned seating, but special, elevated staging in the sanctuary means every seat’s a good one!
Don’t miss this special opportunity to connect with hundreds of women and be encouraged in your faith. The “Spring Fling” is the perfect venue to invite friends and loved ones to experience the love of Christ at a festive, fun-filled event.
Come “Fling” with us May 11!
Child care available upon request in the church office.
