The Water’s Edge
Contemporary Service
Sundays, 9:30 AM in The Cove at
the Krause United Methodist Center. (map)
Worship at the Water's Edge feeds hungry souls. Everyone's welcome. We share Christ together, and we're changed (so that we can help change the world).
Our worship might not be what you expect...
...it's casual, contemporary, traditional, sacramental, poetic, conversational, participatory, thought-provoking, comforting, and holy. You'll find babies and old people, folks whose faith runs long and deep and folks who are searching, people celebrating and mourning and questioning.
We will be different because you've joined us
Every week, we share in the sacrament of communion. We're blessed by artists in our midst who share original songs and poems. We worship with music and images and videos and prayers and sermons. Most of us dress pretty casually; you're welcome to bring your coffee into worship.
The music's good stuff—mellow rock played on acoustic guitars, drums and flutes and things, though you just might happen across bluegrass banjos or a rockin' lead guitar. The preaching is honest and thoughtful. Everyone is always welcome at the communion table.
