School of Christian Studies
San Diego School of Christian Studies offers advanced and intensive educational experiences to lay people and life-long learners who wish to broaden their knowledge and deepen their faith. Guided by a Dean and Planning Council, at present the School offers two programs: The Lectures and the Apostello Academy.
Statement of Purpose
The Purpose of the San Diego School of Christian Studies is to create meaningful educational experiences challenging adults in the greater San Diego region to grow in their understanding and practice of the Christian faith - a faith that works in the world.
The Lectures offer seminary-level instruction in a range of subjects, including Bible, history, theology, ethics, contemporary issues, world religions and more. Lectures are offered in two semesters (Spring and Fall). See upcoming lectures…
The mission of the Apostello Academy is to prepare dynamic disciples of Jesus Christ for innovative, difference-making leadership in the church and in the world. "Apostello" is the word for "sent" in the New Testament, and implies being sent with direction and purpose. Learn more…
