Every Monday, from 10/09/2017 to 11/06/2017, 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM
Rev. John Fanestil is convinced that nothing is more important to the future of our church than strengthening our discipleship "pipeline." This fall, he will convene a series of conversations. Each of five Monday night sessions will be dedicated to a different part of the pipeline. He invites you to attend any or all of these conversations:
*Monday, October 9 - Adult Education
Please join Pastor John if you are an educator or have ideas about how adult programming at First Church can better serve our congregation and community.
*Monday, October 16 - Small Groups
Please join me Pastor John and Small Group Director Beckett Kirk if you are involved in a small group, or would like to be, as part of your journey in faith.
*Monday, October 23 - Spiritual Renewal
Please join Pastor John if you are interested to re-discover Christ's presence in your life, gain a fresh understanding of God's transforming grace and form friendships that foster spiritual growth.
*Monday, October 30 - The Contemplative Christian Life
Please join Pastor John if you are interested to explore the possibility that First Church could become a center for people pursing a contemplative way of Christian discipleship that leads to peace and justice and reconciliation.
*Monday, November 6 - Hospitality
Please join Pastor John if you would like to help make First Church a more welcoming and hospitable place while you are already on campus, especially on Sunday mornings and at Christmas and Easter.
The goal of these conversations is to develop a comprehensive and seamless "pipeline" for adult discipleship here at First Church, and for as many people as possible to share a mutual understanding of how this pipeline works. If we can succeed in this, we will become much more effective in welcoming new people into our fold, helping them develop as faithful Christian disciples, and mobilizing them for leadership in the church, community and world.
Please contact Rev. Fanestil if you would like to speak with him about which sessions you should attend.
