The Waters Edge
Sunday, 9:30 a.m.
in The Cove in the United Methodist Center
The Water's Edge is a gathering that allows us to "come to the water" for renewal and for celebration. The word that names our patterns of worship, “liturgy,” literally means “the work of the people.” We hope you will join us in sharing the work of being the church--Christ’s body in the world.
Our pastor, Molly Vetter, preaches regularly, bringing God's message into conversation with film clips, current events, and everyday life. The youth of our congregation play an integral role in worship at leadership at the Water’s Edge.
Our worship combines the best of contemporary music
and the richness of tradition in what feels more like a coffeehouse
gathering than a "traditional" worship service. Before and after
worship, you are invited to share in conversation and a good cup of
coffee at our full service Coffee House.
As we share in prayer, song, stories and Holy
Communion, we remember and renew our connection to God. Each week, we
share in the sacred act of Communion, which invites everyone to know and
taste the richness of God’s love.
Our community is changed by each person in it as we seek to be authentic in offering the life-giving waters of the Gospel for the transformation of our world.
We invite you to come to the "water's edge" and join us for this
experience in Worship here at First United Methodist Church.
