The First United Methodist Church of San Diego is seeking an effective and dynamic Executive Administrator. This position provides operational management and supervision of the entire administrative operation of the church including, finance, facilities and planned giving. The position exists in parity with the Executive Pastor who provides oversight of the church’s ministries and programs. Together with the Executive Pastor, the Executive Administrator reports directly to the Lead Pastor and serves as an extension of the Lead Pastor to all of the administrative areas of the church to implement the church’s stated vision and strategic plan.
The successful candidate will possess a B.A. or B.S. degree in business management, accounting or other associated field. Additionally, the successful candidate will have extensive experience in personnel and project management, an ability to create a positive team-focused culture and have a vibrant personal faith in Jesus Christ.
The First United Methodist Church is a 2,700-member congregation in the heart of San Diego’s Mission Valley. It’s ministry, since 1869, reaches people of all backgrounds throughout the San Diego region.
