Easter Sunday

This is the Sunday, the focal point, the high water mark, the culmination of the journey, the greatest of all Christian celebrations; it is Easter!

I pray you will do everything possible to make sure you are a part of worship on this most glorious of days, and be sure to invite a friend to join you in coming to church.

Easter is a great day for it is always a day of surprises. That is its very nature, for it celebrates God’s greatest surprise of all, life coming from death. In the resurrection we have God’s great reversal of everything we have been led to expect. God is always doing something new, let us look together to see if we can discern what it might be.

The Gospel Sound Bite for Easter is Mary’s words she reports to the disciples, “I Have Seen the Lord.” Let me invite you in these days leading up to Easter to be extra vigilant in watching for signs of God’s gift of new life all around you.
