All God’s Children/More
Paul tells us that nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:35-39)
In spite of this promise, some of us have questioned whether we are worthy of God's love. Then we're reminded of God's grace.
However, many lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons, even those who have grown up in the church, believe that God and the Christian church have rejected them altogether. Sometimes their parents and family feel at a loss to make things right.
All God's Children is a group composed primarily of parents, friends and families of LGBT persons that offers a variety of programs to provide support and to encourage open and respectful conversation on questions of homosexuality and faith.
These are difficult questions debated both inside and outside the church. But the church of John Wesley has never hesitated to deal with real world issues.
All God's Children meets the first Sunday of every month at 12:15 in Linder 5. Join us to learn how you can help with future programs at First Church.
Our hope is that First Church grows as a welcoming community of faith where all persons feel safe and loved.
