The Chancel Choir

Providing the anthems for all sanctuary worship services each Sunday, this 100-plus-member choir performs a a wide variety of music. From sacred traditional anthems by famous composers to music hot off the press. The choir is often accompanied by flutes, brass, and percussion instruments as well as piano and organ.

Join the Chancel Choir–
Start date: September 8!

  • No audition required, but you should be able to read music.
  • Weekly rehearsals on Thursdays,
    7–9 PM in the Music Center
    (Campus map).
  • To join: register at 6:50 PM before rehearsal in the Music Center.
  • Before performing you will need to attend  two rehearsals.
  • The Chancel Choir sings every Sunday, 10 months/year.
  • The choir members sing at all three services and are encouraged to participate in at least two services.
  • There is no cost to join the choir.

We have fun!

Our Chancel Choir has about 100 members and you don't need to be a member of the church to join.
All are welcome!

To assist us we have six professional musicians including Music Director Stan Wicks, an accompanist, and four section leaders.

Between the early services we enjoy donuts and coffee, and at 10:30 AM, brunch is provided by members of the choir sections on a rotating basis.

Being a Chancel Choir member is a great way to meet new friends. In addition to singing, each year we have several social events and an annual party with food and entertainment.
