Endowment Development Committee
The Endowment Development Committee is the “education part” of Planned Giving and is established to create an awareness of the many benefits available through Planned Giving.
One can select to designate a gift to the Permanent Endowment Fund of the First United Methodist Church of San Diego, for now and the future. It is the purpose of the Committee to plan, promote and conduct a variety of informational seminars presented by members of the Committee or other invited guest speakers. Speakers include estate planning attorneys, certified financial planners and other specialists as the topics require.
The Heritage Newsletter
The Endowment Development Committee publishes a newsletter, Heritage, a quarterly mailing featuring articles of financial matters as they relate to planned giving and estate planning. The newsletter and seminars are designed to inform about the benefits and various ways to participate in deferred giving to First Church. Members of the Committee volunteer to follow up with individuals expressing interest in deferred giving to the Church and joining The Covenant Circle.
